Just a curious thought. I happen to like "silence" in the house. Hence why I'm a headphone type of person.
Now say you have guests over and what not. If they wanna hear something, whether it'd be a game or whatever. You would need speakers... Is there some sort of device I can hook up that will allow multiple headphones to hear from a single source like the PC? I'm PRETTY sure I've seen cables that do this sort of thing for iPods and what not when you want to have more than one person hear it. |

Well from my results at newegg, 3.5 mm jack splitter would be the way to go I suppose.
And no, headphones at the moment and in the future are gonna be corded anyway. (Astro gaming ones also happen to be using s/pdif connection via coaxial and toslink anyway. Hence why I happen to like it ahaha) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882125176 I think I found a coaxial splitter.... Edited by Axel Daemon - 07 Nov 2008 at 8:01pm |

That can actually work? If you have those stereo headphone splitter you can connect splitters to splitters?

This is possible, however, be aware that the power requirements to operate more headphones will demand more of the output device. If it's the output from a pc, multiple headphones will either require the power of a quality discrete sound card or even an external "preamp" or headphone amp. Usually a quality preamp or headphone amp can run two or three headphones depending upon the efficiency and impedence of them. Best bet is to look for 4 to 8 ohm impedence headphones with a high efficiency rating. |
