I have walked up to the Mac line on two occassions now...their display is out of this world but I just couldnt bring myself to do it...the big argument has always been "it just works."  Guess what, so does my PC.

Did anyone else consider an iMac before purchasing their DS system?  I was looking at a maxed out 27" iMac and pricing would have been comparable (although performance would not have).

I would never even think about getting a mac. Anytime you look at the price of one of those aweful things, a pc equivalent (in terms of hardware) would be a lot cheaper. Also, macs are just so boring...if you're a gamer, NOTHING runs on a mac. Even if you worked in the architechtural, animation, design industry, a mac could be one option...but a pc can be just as capable. Stick with a PC, macs are all about aesthetics (imo, i think they fail at that too). btw, i love those simple "no" and "nope" replies, lol so simple and direct.

Macs can serve a purpose. One can always use another paperweight right?

iMacs are not comparable to desktop PC's from Digital Storm or elsewhere.  iMacs use mobility GPUs with Apple modified clocks.  As, one of the iMac's selling points is it's small foot print.

I think there probably are some other differences, but in any event, a PC from Digital Storm will have a real desktop GPU.   iMac's are nice and mostly are for people who want to run Mac OS compatible software that won't run on a Window's based PC.

Sure you can use bootcamp to run Windows natively on a Mac or iMac since they went with the Intel platform, but you aren't really going to have the same experience as with Window's based gaming though.   Those little mobile GPU's just aren't powerful enough.
