I think it did.  I just priced out the computer I just received a few weeks ago and it came out to around $500 less.  I'm kinda bummed about it, although I think that's the name of the game as far as computer technology goes.

Yes we've updated our prices. Unfortuently prices do drop and we really have no control over them. As our inventory clears with older parts, we're able to update pricing with newer hardware.

At the time you place your order a while ago, we've paid higher prices for the hardware at that time.

The Special Deals are what really got price updates.

@VideCorSpoon, as a heads up, the Special Deals don't have the hardware you have such as:

1. Corsair 800D
2. Stage 6 Liquid Cooling
3. 3 Year Parts and Labor Warranty VS. 3 Year Limited Warranty

Make no mistake, I love the computer, and the price was very reasonable for what it was.  My original configuration came out to $4,812.   When I priced out the same configuration (in the black-ops level three section), the whole total came out to $4,649.  First time round I forgot to check the four year warranty and a few little options, so the difference was a bit less, around $163.   I don’t suppose you do a difference of price refund within the 30 day window of return, do you?

@VideCorSpoon,

No problem.

The best way to work this out would be to contact us directly and speak with Sarah ([email protected]) or Eric ([email protected]) to see what we can do for you.

Warm Regards,
Alex

Haha, this is great! I'm so tempted to buy now. Do you know how long prices will stay like this?

We do not know how long the prices are going to stay this low! My suggestion, call me, lets get your order placed before you miss out on an amazing deal.

1.  I'm able to select the Hailstorm in my configuration http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=406197
which is a special deal the hailstorm is the 800D no?  Is this intended?

3.  If you don't read the post in configuration discussion first, could you please explain or post a link to what each warranty specifically covers?  Thanks.

@Herniter,

We actually decided to offer the 'HailStorm (Corsair 800D)' and 'Assassin (SilverStone FT02)' chassis with our 'Special Deals.'

I made a reply about details in the 'Config Discussion' thread. (I'm planning to move it to the more appropriate 'General Discussion' area soon as well.
