Can someone please tell me what is the difference between DDR3 OCZ at 1600MHz Platinum Edition and DDR3 Corsair at 1600MHz DHX? Is it the timings?

Is it worth paying extra $78 to get DDR3 Corsair at 1600MHz DHX?

Thanks.

Im not sure of the type of DHX 1600 they use corsair sells two types a CAS9 and a CAS7 version. You might want to ask them which they sell.

Im assuming its the CAS9 though, and since DS only seems to sell 1GB versions unless you specify im gonna link you the 2x1 versions...

Corsair DHX CAS9

Corsair DHX CAS7

OCZ Plat CAS7

IMHO OCZ is a little cheaper made overall, which reflects in price and they seem to have a slightly higher failure rate, but their performance vs price is unbeatable. Corsair has sort of an inflated price thanks to their brand name being well reguarded but their ram is usually very solid.
