Hey all, I'm a newb who'd like to do a bit of praising. :) I apologize, for most I understand this will be a "TLDR" post. ><
First, I'd like to qualify my claim. I'm currently an senior-level operational manager for the customer service division of a very well off video-game development company. I've seen not just the good/bad/ugly side of customer service, but also understand some of the "internal" focus points, such as expedient, accurate, and complete service. I find in most cases these days, many companies are only focused on expediency. They just want to ship out as much product as fast as possible, without any care or "investment" into any of the other spheres of the industry. They fall short, because they don't realize, one of the single most important facets of selling anything, is having fully-encompassing, excellent, engaged customer service. With many places, such as Dell or Alienware...if you have any issues, you'll get fed a form response, or a phone number to Punjab. The only concern of their employees is to churn through as many calls as possible, to offer "expedient" service, regardless of how empathetic, knowledgeable, or accurate that service may be. I've just recently purchased my first DS machine because the service is what's important to me. The computer I'm using to write this I built myself. I've gone through the headaches of bad parts, endless research and comparing minute benefits/problems between similar components, troubleshooting, overclocking. I've done it, I've overcome it, and I have the experience now (and enough money) to say, I hope I never have to do it again. That being said, my build is still currently in stage 1. Why did I choose these guys? The follow through of this team is exceptional, which gives not only satisfaction, but a feeling of security. The security of knowing that the birthing of my gaming beast will go flawlessly. Knowing that someone cares enough to ensure that the machine is as good as one that he/she would take home to their own family; not just a 9-5'er who punches his card, slaps together a few circuit boards, talks crap with his buddy, then leaves without a single ounce of passion for his work. Whenever I've had a question, they've answered it quickly. When I had a couple of Billing issues with my credit card, they emailed and phoned about it. I'll keep this thread updated as much as possible over the next few weeks, as I receive continued updates on my new machine. Thank you to Josh, Dave, and Alex for your help. Without further ado, my build (things I did not purchase have been removed): Order 6536
I'm just a dude, who loves video games, and wants an amazing machine to get lost in them with. Cheers. Edited by Severance - 24 Mar 2008 at 9:34pm |
