Hello, and welcome to the forums. This is a compilation of frequently asked questions on the Digital Storm forums. If you can not find the answer to your question here, please make a new topic in the right forum section or message one of the moderators.

1. Payment & Ordering


1.1 What payment options do you accept?
Digital Storm accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discovery, American Express, Paypal, Wire Transfers, Direct Deposits, and Checks.

1.2 How long does it take to process my order?

It can take up to 48 hours to process an order. To reduce delays, please follow any special steps that are related to your specific payment method.

2. Shipping


2.1 Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, Digital Storm ships worldwide. Our website only takes orders to the United States, however, international customers are more than welcome to contact us for special orders.

2.2 How much is shipping to [this place]?
These are estimates for shipping fees. For an exact shipping quote, call or email Digital Storm.

United States - FREE        South America - $140         Australia - $150
Canada - $50                   Europe - $140                    Asia - $150

2.3 What shipping courier do you use?
United Parcel Service (UPS) is Digital Storm's preferred courier. If you want your computer shipped by another courier, you have to request it by phone or email. Extra fee's may occur if you do decide to use an alternate courier.

2.4 Do I need to be at home to receive the package?
Yes, someone needs to be at home to sign for the package. However, if it may be difficult, you can ask the UPS facility to hold the package at your local hub for late pickup.

2.5 What If I am not available when they deliver it?
You will be left a notice and another delivery attempt will be made the next business day. If you miss this delivery too, you will be left another notice and you will have to contact the courier to schedule another delivery or hub pickup. Items not picked up within 5 business days are returned to the sender.

3. Policies

3.1 What is your refund policy?
Digital Storm offers a 30 Days Money Back Guarantee that starts from the day you receive your computer. (If you received a new system and you were having issues and had to send it for service, your 30 day period will re-start after you receive the computer again).

3.2 What is your warranty policy?
Digital Storm will repair or replace defective hardware, free of charge for labor and parts for 3 years. All costs (parts, shipping, labor) are covered by Digital Storm during the first 30 days of receiving your machine. After the 30 day period, you will be responsible for shipping charges. (If you received a new system and you were having issues and had to send it for service, your 30 day period will re-start after you receive the computer again).

3.3 What is your upgrade policy?
Digital Storm gives the customer the freedom to upgrade his or her computer system. If you would like Digital Storm to upgrade your system for you, you will be responsible for shipping costs back and forth and a small labor fee.

4.1 What cases do you use?

Digital Storm Ultra - Cooler Master Stacker 830
Digital Storm Pro - SilverStone TJ04
Digital Storm Lite - RAIDMAX SIRIUS 701
Digital Storm Value - RAIDMAX Scorpio 868

4.2 Does Digital Storm use quality parts?
Yes, Digital Storm uses well known quality parts such as Corsair, eVGA, and Western Digital.

4.3 Can I specify which brand I want?
Yes, request it by phone or email.

4.4 I do not want the [this part], can I have [this part] instead?
If you want something that is not listed on the customization page, you can request it by phone or email.

4.5 Does Digital Storm overclock?
Yes, you can select from the overclocking options under DigitalStorm TwisterBoost Technology.

4.6 What speed will my processor be overclocked to?
On average it is a 19% increase, however there are no guarantees as it depends on the choice of components.

4.7 Is the operating system OEM or Retail?
The operating system is OEM. We do include a custom recovery system with each purchase. The recovery system comes with various tools to test your machines stability and to restore your comptuer back to factory defaults.

Here's one to add for shipping - if you are going to ship to an address other than the one that matches the billing address for your credit card, you must complete 1 of the 3 following options:

 
Option 1: Authorization Form
The authorization form verifies that you are the rightful card holder and authorize Digital Storm to ship your purchase to an alternate address. Please visit: (http://www.digitalstormonline.com/CCform.pdf) to view our authorization form. If you are having trouble opening the form, it requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please contact us for help if there are any problems. Either fax (408-273-6995) or email ([email protected]) the documents as soon as possible. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to review and process your authorization form upon submittal. All documents are received in a secure digital system and are terminated upon acceptance.

Option 2: Manual Authorization
If you do not wish to complete and submit the authorization form, we offer a manual authorization option for our customers. In this process, we will connect a three-way conference call with you, the card holder, and your bank. Our Digital Storm representative will ask your bank to verify that you are the card holder. After verification, the order will be manually processed by our accounting department.

Option 3: Change your Shipping to your Billing Address
If you simply wanted to ship your computer system to a alternate address for convenience and the other two options will not work for you, we can then change your shipping address to your billing address and re-press your order.

You gotta cut skyR some slack.  The agency that takes your money and puts your package in the back room for a week and where the employees "go postal" is called Canada Post where he lives. (and they use dog sleds in the winter to deliver the mail...)

You should put something in the FAQ for when people want help with configs. It's best to let us know the budget, what the main uses will be, anything specific they're looking for, and if they're going to want to do the upgrades themselves at a later date or use the machine for a few years then upgrade.
