I just recently purchased a Digital Storm Lumos and I was wondering how many fan came with the build. Ive seen unboxings where people had 3 case fans, exhaust fan, and 2 top fans and I wasnt sure if that was standard with the build or that was extra. My build was similar to theirs so I was just curious.

Got my Lumos in Oct 2019.
3 front fans (intake) 3 top fans (intake) 1 rear fan (exhaust) I have an air-cooled CPU, so the 3 top fans blow directly down on the CPU fan assembly. |

I think that if you did not upgrade the fans you get the 3 front fans only. If you upgrade the fans, then you get 6 fans( 3 front, 2 top, and 1 rear )
That is by the description in the configuration screens. |

I think Nomad is correct. If you got the dual fan AIO cooler, that's two more fans. If you went with stock fans, they should mount the radiator at the top blowing out. If you have the RGB fans, I believe they mount the radiator behind the front fans. DS knows for sure so send 'em an e-mail.

I ended up calling before Bob answered and they did state that 6 fans are included. But as Nomad said the configuration doesn’t necessarily state that when you build it.

There wasnt an option to upgrade fans when I placed my order other than switching to the Cooler Master fans. When I called, they said that the build comes with 6 fans (3 chassis, 2 on top, and 1 rear). But when I look at my specs, it doesnt say how many.

With standard chassis fans its 3x front, 1x rear.
With upgrades, its up to 6 fans as long as there are no limitations due to config (radiator sizing, motherboard size, etc). |

The Digital Storm "Performance Series" SSD is anything but. It is the slowest M.2 SSD here because it's a SATA drive. The 500GB Firecuda is worth every penny of the extra $64 IMHO for everything you will do from that drive. It is 9 times faster reading, and almost 5 times faster writing than the one you picked. those are game-changing numbers.
DS doesn't mind you making changes. If you need to, you could help pay for it by getting the air cooler or the single fan AIO. Either of those will cool your CPU very well.
