Ok so im looking to get into PC gaming from console. However im not quite ready to drop a lot of money as i want to ease into it and learn the ropes.
So is the Digital Storm VANQUISH 7 - Level 1 a good PC to buy as an entry leveling into PC gaming? Im looking to play games like Overwatch, PUBG, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, GTAV.... SO nothing super crazy on graphics. Currently i only have one 24" LED monitor, nothing spectacular and if i get a second monitor it will just be for basic web browsing or video streaming. Will these specs be good enough for Medium to high 60FPS? It's...adequate. I've gotta tell ya, you'd have a much better experience with the level 2. Just the SSD alone for your operating system and essential apps with the big HDD for everything else will make a huge difference in how much you enjoy your system. Plus the 1060 kicks some serious butt at 1080p resolution, and will let you keep gaming on that rig for several years. Try to reach out for it if you can.

1050 might not leave a great impression on you, on some games like gta you might get. 50-55 fps but other games you might be at 33, games like wow you should be ok.
As Cretae said minimum 1060 is best Edited by DST4ME - 29 Jan 2018 at 12:49am |

In overwatch your avg fps should double with 1060, you should be able to do ultra high settings from what I've seen. With overwatch if you are looking for 69 fps both 1050ti and 1060 will give it to you.
Pbug is i think like 37 fps with 1050ti vs 59 fps with 1060 (6gb) average. |

I'm also in the same boat as OP but I'm looking to play mostly "Assetto Corsa",how much fps do you guys think I would get, also instead of going to level 2 can I just upgrade the parts myself? Would it be cheaper?

According to the specs for that game on Steam, the minimum is a GTX 460 and the recommended is a GTX 970. The Radeon RX 11 that comes with the Vanq 1 will perform near the same as the minimum, and up to 50% less than the recommended. Of course your results will vary depending on settings and the native resolution of your monitor.
The GTX 1060 6GB that comes with the Vanq 2 will outperform the 970. It would run you about $370 right now if you upgraded from the Radeon. However, you would still have a less capable CPU and no SSD. The package to upgrade yourself looks like it would run you more than buying new, but you would have some used parts to try to sell. I understand the jump in dollars is substantial between the two, but so is the overall experience. In the end, it's all about what you can budget. |

Thanks for the help, more than likely I'll just hold off until I can afford it as it seems I'd just be limiting myself by buying the level 1.

Holding off is hard, but you won't regret having more power for everything.

So would you buy Level 2 or upgrade the few parts? What would be better??
Does Level 2 allow gaming, streaming, recording (or just like gaming and streaming or recording). |

You need to know that when this thread began the Vanquish 2 was more like the Vanquish 3 is now. DS is building these to an economical price point and has been forced to lower specs for each build mostly to account for the ridiculous run-up in GPU prices. (In the V4, the price went up instead of seriously gimping the build.)
The 1050 Ti is an adequate video card for 1080p gaming, but will not perform great on the more challenging games at high settings. If you can live with lowered settings on the more demanding games, you'll get good performance, and be well above recommended specs. At least the V2 still comes with an SSD for Windows and apps. The V1 is pretty rudimentary, but not a total bowser at this price point. The CPU is 4 cores, 8 threads. The graphics are integrated on the CPU meaning there is no separate card, but they are reputed to be the most powerful integrated graphics available. This may be a good place to start, as you can add a card of your choice later as a powerful and simple upgrade. Hope it helps. |

Just a note, the level 2 does not come with an SSD anymore.

Not sure I understand the question in light of this thread. You are asking if arguably the the most powerful consumer video card out right now is capable of performing? That's a yes. ![]() |

But, the 600 Watt power supply in the Vaquish level 2 will not power a 1080 Ti.

I don't take that as his question. DS states in the configurator that their 600W PSU is only good up to a 1080. So you are right. Secondly, you cannot ask for a 1080 Ti or any other upgrade to a Vanquish system. They are sold as is. WSYWYG. I found the question unrelated to the thread and said so. With what at what resolution? This thread has examined a wide range of issues, and the original question was based on a configuration that is no longer available.
The Current Vanquish level one build includes a Ryzen 5 2400G CPU with integrated graphics on the chip. It is projected to play Fortnite at around 58 Frames average on low at 1080p. The best set-up for this rig IMO is to add a GTX 1060 6GB card at some point after you get it. That would allow you to make this very economical build a very good performer at 1080p on high settings on just about every game. |

I wouldn't suggest anything lower than a 1060 6GB personally. 1050ti will work but it will still have it's serious limitations.

Than a 1050ti should work. My 1060 6GB plays 1080p on epic settings with 40+ stable. Not much of a fortnite player so I couldn't say what fps at what settings to expect exactly.

At 1080p with medium settings you can expect a 1050 Ti to average around 110 FPS in Fortnite. A 1060 6GB will play everything at high or better at 1080p.
A Vanquish level one that you supply with your own GTX 1060 6GB will be a strong gaming rig for several years for under $1000. It' s easy to install a video card. Edited by Cretae - 31 Jan 2019 at 6:53am |
