I've always gotten a soundcard with my computer. Probably will be getting a DS system in December, but I can't afford any of the soundcard choices.
I have a normal set of Logitech speakers with a subwoofer, and of course enjoy good sound in my gaming. Having said that, motherboards these days all come with "onboard audio." Will I still be able to enjoy new games using the MB audio? Should I make plans to invest in a new soundcard later? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, thanks!

yes, even if you are really into sound quality, onboard sound is ok. and its so easy to add a sound card later that its really not a bad idea to try it out and see if you are happy with onboard before dropping money on a sound card
