I am a recent bolt 3 purchaser. I am fairly happy with it, however i wish i could have gone a bit more in now like i can. I didnt get my gpu water cooled, wasn't available when i wanted to purchase. So i kept my own 970 to put in a gpuless build from DS.
Upgraded my gpu not long ago, but because of the bolt case design the card i wanted didnt work, overheat issues. Has to be a blower style which are weaker cards in general.

I am considering sending my entire comp in to DS for them to possibly credit me as much as they can for it, and i will of course put in a good amount to go towards my actual dream machine, which would be a bolt X fully water cooled. Also i won't mess up the colors this time :)

This probably can't be done i assume right? I purchases about 13 months ago.

DS doesn't do trade ins or trade ups last I heard.

Like bpratt22 says, haven't heard that being done. However, maybe you can send them your system and have them use the case and some parts therein (psu, sdd, hdd...) to build you a more up to date pc. There is nothing wrong with the Bolt 3 case.
For your temp issues you can modify your side panel by taking it to a plexiglas shop and have them drill some vent holes in front of the gpu and install a fan or even try getting one with the fan from DS. Good luck.
