I want to upgrade my GTX 1650 to a 1660S that I got from a friend, but since the GTX 1650 doesn't use 8-pin power, I'm not sure if my PSU has it. I believe I have a DigitalStorm performance series 600W. Does anybody know if I can perform this upgrade?

First I would ask DS. They might have a record of your order, and be able to give you more details about the PSU.

If that doesn't work out, then you should look at the back of your PSU where everything is plugged. There will likely be a mess of wires in the way. If it's too crowded to see, then you could unplug everything to get a better view. Just be careful that you plug everything back in the way it was before.

If you decide to do that, then send us a picture of the back of the PSU.

The vast percentage of psu use a 6+2 PCIE plug , meaning a 6 pin with another 2 pin plug unhooked from the connector. The cable is 8 wire with the 2 pin plug folded back in setups only using a 6 pin.   For 8 pin, cut the tywrap, hook the 2 together and you have the 8 pin.

Without a model number I can’t say 100% it has a 6+2, but a quick look at where it plugs into the 1650 will confirm an 8 wire with 2 folded back.

Hope this helps.
