I upped the memory to Corsair Dominator, and I'm not sure if I'm being picky or if I should just bump it back down and save the $100. I was also recommended the air phase 2 Noctua cooler, but frankly I'm afraid of damage during transit, and I don't want to have to deal with an RMA before I even get the thing going.

The price is $2211 before shipping. This thing has to last me a few years at least and I'll be gaming on a 23 inch 19x10 screen.

Ditch the Nova in favor of the 80GB Intel SSD. At only $50 more it's a vastly better buy. Much much better performance, literately 10 times better at small file 4k read/writes. Has extra room to boot.

Keep in mind that Digital Storm gets A LOT of orders with the Stage 2 Noctua NH-D14, it's a very popular model, and we've already had multiple people from DS confirm they have an extremely small percentile of them actually get any damage during transport.

Lose the OS boost. You won't notice the performance gains and if you ever need/want any of the disabled services it'll be a pain trying to figure out how to reenable them.

If you are concerned about the Noctua, just go with it's smaller sibling the 120. Should be more than adequate for you and it's smaller size/weight will lessen the risk of shipping damage.

This is all good advice, follow it, and you'll have the right rig!
DEFINITELY on the Intel 80g.
Don't get the Corsair RAM.
Win 7 Pro only if you have some legacy software that runs on XP, but not Win 7.
Pro gets you a free download that will emulate Win XP on your desktop.

Noctua Dual 120mm
I can make my mind think... anything....

OK, thanks for the input guys. I'll drop the ram back to the standard 6 gig set, swap out the ssd to the 80 gig Intel, and drop OS boost as well. I did bump my 2nd harddrive down to the 500 gig WD model though, but I'll be fine with 580 gig worth of hd space.

Ill be sticking with the 120mm cooler though. i just don't see the need in a cooler that eats up half my case just for my CPU.

I should be ordering this beast tomorrow afternoon, so if anybody has anything to add let me know. I'll check this thread tomorrow before I hit the go button.
