I want to play the new Marvel Heroes game, but it says my driver needs to be updated. I went to the radeon site, and had a software auto detect what I needed updating. After downloading what it needed to download, my computer crashed. It went to a blue screen saying it has to restart in order to save the pc. After the pc restarted, I got a notification that my drive wasn't installed. My pc resolution was at 800x600(I go on 1920x1080 and it wouldn't go back to that), and I couldn't access any game because the drive wasn't being recognized.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 5800 series.
Operating system: windows 7 home premium 64-bit.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU

I tried updating my drive years ago, and the same thing occurred. I had to wipe out my pc to get everything back to normal.

Drivers can be a real pain in the arse. Big%20Smile

If manually trying to roll back the driver doesn't work, then go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Display Drivers > right click your video card and select Uninstall.  Hard reboot your pc, not soft Restart, and let your OS install new device and drivers.  From there I couldn't say.  Some drivers work and some play havoc with ya.

Good Luck.

I agree. Manually uninstall the driver then reinstall the driver after the reboot.

Assuming you installed the updated driver over the old driver this could have caused the issues.

Good Luck!
