Well I am getting ready to look at upgrading some components in my system....was planning on shipping it back to DS for some upgrades. I was looking at the upgrade section, and all I see is the current i7 platform/processors/memory.
 
I guess my question would be, since I have the LGA775 platform and a Q9450, if I wanted to upgrade, my only choice with DS is to go with an i7 upgrade? To upgrade everything to an i7 platform I'm looking at having to spend $900+ and that's for the low end i7 920/memory/mb.
 
Does DS still sell the LGA775 quad cores?

Yes you can still get a C2d system.

Your current quad is not enough power ?? what are you doing with it? lol

yes they do but why do you want to upgrade? even if you needed the upgrade (which you don't) wouldn't it make sense to wait till H1 of 2010 and upgrade to a 6 core CPU that will be out then?

Has it been confirmed that the 6 core CPU will be out in Q1 of 2010?
