Hey, I was wondering why DS doesn't try some 3DMark world records? You've got the parts and the expertise, all you need to do is run it. It would make for great publicity and I'm sure we would all be interested to see what can be achieved with the highest end hardware at the moment. GTX 480 Quad SLI OC with an OC i7 980X should be able to score at least 60,000 in Vantage, beating the current world record of 51,000. A tri-SLI, non-OC setup was able to obtain almost 47,000 3Dmarks, I'm sure you guys could do much better. Love what you guys do, tell me what you think.

for 1, that tool is not running a legal benchmark, so it does not count, hence why his score is high
2. If DS could get some 3dmark records, they would be in such highly modified systems, and OS that it would not represent anything that they could build for a gaming PC to sell to the public.

@Eldritch,
You're right. I believe we've just been busy with other projects, but, we'll definitely put this on the road map for future things to-do.

1. What makes his benchmark invalid (out of curiosity)? 2. The point wouldn't be to represent what kind of computer a customer could typically buy (as that would depend on budget). The point would be for people to see the DS brand through tech sites, hiscores, forum discussions etc. It would be a lot of publicity for relatively little cost I think, assuming that the folks at DS can achieve such a record which I strongly believe they can. |

he is using the GPU's to perform the CPU test. shows he is cluless when it comes to benchmarking.
DS won't be setting any records, unless they use their pull with Evga and get Peter Tan to be a temp employee. lol even then good luck

How does one use the GPU's to perform the CPU tests? lol...just out of curiosity, so I don't do it.
