I have to say that I am very impressed with the computer that has been assembled for me. My games are being manhandled!!! Guild Wars is gorgeous and the frame rates are through the roof, Definitely ready for Guild Wars 2 now . Batman Arkum Asylum is smooth as silk and looks great on top of it, Can't wait to load up my other games. It is really a joy to crank up games to max settings and not have problems.
The machine is so quiet that my entire family has trouble hearing it without being close by. I had to turn off my old system to even hear the Assassin running (about 12 feet apart at the time) granted my old machine could drown out a Mack truck, but still impressive in my book. In addition to damn near silent gaming is the ease of having all the connections available to me on top of the system. It will make switching from my desktop monitor to my 50" Plasma a breeze, no need to move the system to gain access to the connections.
The ONLY issues I had was a slight difference in the shipping price (website was off by 15 dollars or so ) which was immediately corrected by DS and brought to my attention inside of 24 hours of ordering. The other issue was 1 missing thumb screw , but Stella already has the replacement on the way. Stella was more concerned about it than I was. It is a nice feeling knowing DS would fix it with no questions asked, before I even picked up the phone. Customer service has been outstanding!
On to some Pictures:
A little shipping scrapes and scratches (3 day air FedEx)
Everything looking good so far.
My wife has officially named my computer "The Other Woman"
The system is a fully functional work of computer artistry!
On to the config ( for all you tech guys )

I will be looking at a SSD in the future when my budget (and wife) allows it. Once the basement is finished and my game room is completed will get a sound card to use with my 7.1 speakers. But until then I am happy with my cheesy headphones. I was going for a quiet system since I am still in the family room and I feel that my mission was completed beyond my expectations. We no longer have to turn up the TV to hear it over the computer. On top of it I got a smoking computer to boot! Thank you Digital Storm you guys rock!!! Not sure if I have furmark setup properly but here are some numbers:
Multi GPU Scores:
Single:
Temps and stuff:
If I take more pictures of the computer my wife may divorce me! I know these are not earth shattering numbers but what should i expect from midrange cards? Edited by Over_Lord - 16 Jul 2010 at 5:23pm |
