Does anyone else wish they had some more control over on the DS Control Software?

I was thankful when Alex posted on how to adjust the fan speeds in the support guides but always feel like I don't understand how it works. The software doesn't seem to be very intuitive.

Also, there's only 2 sliders for fan speed adjustment but 14 fans in 5 different groupings in the Aventum 3 case. To this point I still haven't figured out which is set 1 or set 2.

Maybe there could be an indicator for water pump operation?

Anyone else want to chime in?

Hi eeekman......I don't have the software, but from my experience dealing with and seeing it on the forums, I think its a a lightweight, basic tweak for those that don't want to mess around with settings.  Basically, set it and forget it.

I personally would rather have a more robust package that can either be just the basic or much more involved for setups like yours or those that want to get into it more, even if it meant paying a bit more.   Too light for me personally. 

I guess, like their Hydrolux, make a LITE and PRO version, priced accordingly.  Otherwise I would be more inclined to use FanXpert, etc.

bprat22 I'm feeling the same way. There is more to see at least with FanXpert although I'm not sure what kind of adjustments I can make with it yet. I purchased the fan extension card and the necessary cables to use it but I haven't made the switch yet because I'm just waiting to see what kind of responses there are to this post.

We made the software to be as simple as possible, adjust fan speeds and change LED color lighting. We're more than happy to hear ideas!

Yeah, the Control Software works as it was designed, simple, functional and for so many that don't want to spend time tweaking when they could be gaming.    Some want more.

Hi Alex,

How about a "pro" version of the software. This way people who want it simple can have the existing version and people who like to tinker can have more adjustments to play with. For example:

1) Adjustable fan curve with ability to set minimum fan speed
2} Ability to label/identify fan sets
3} Ability to log temperature data
4) Numbered fan speed adjustments

One of the main issues for me was that there was no included documentation as to how to adjust the fans. I was very glad when you posted this information in the "Support Guides."
