A shot of the inside, sooooo much room in there! the monitor (I need a much larger desk just have no room for one right now ) bigger is better! So first off I wanna thank DST4ME for all the help, if he had not responded to my post I might have went with a dell or something like that Review: So after countless hours looking at random and big computer company's and talking on many forums with no real help one night I decided to just type in gaming computers and look at what I find. Thats when I came across a company called digital storm. At first glance I think digital what.... What does digital storm mean, maybe its just another computer company flashy lights, limited choices and no idea whats really in that big glowing machine. I thought lots of money and no idea whats inside that huge machine. But I was shockingly wrong this time. I figure well guess I will configure another to pricey dream machine through my poor connection and slowly dieing dell. I was amazed at all the choices you could actually see what was inside the monster and the price of each part. I then went through a few builds and did what I normally do, compare prices to other places like dell ect. Well the price of a lesser version of the computer I had configured at dell was allmost twice as much and only a 1 year waranty So I was convinced right away that either this was a scam or I had just found the best deal, best configuration, best site, and best computer company of all time. I then went to the forums cause I knew what I wanted just am not very computer savy. I figured I would post something and get no real responses or help but was shocked that I got a response and it was not even from a ds employee and he helped me more than anyone! (DST4ME) So I then came to hope this was not a scam and had to wait for uncle sam to give me my money back so I could buy the pc without ny wife going nuts over 2.5 grand. Then the day came and I typed in my ticket number and place my order piece if cake! Few hours later phone rang and james let me know they did not have the memorey I wanted but could go with a few other options and was no big deal and talked to me more like a friend rather than a car salesman. I also called them a few times for random things like to change some billing stuff and just to ask how the pc was doing and they allways helped right away with no wait time! The only hard time I had from buying my pc was the wait, way too long but when it did arrive I was about ready to go nuts and our baby daughter could even tell we were excited when we heard the knock at the door and me and my wife both jumped up. On the package was even a big sticker saying please make sure to ask for id of last name "blah" befor you give package (of course the fedex guy did not but at least ds did their part!) Got the computer set up in no time and had total war on and playing it for the first time and it ran like a charm (had bought it a year ago and could not play it due to poor computer) So overall I found out that ds is not a scam and I will allways use them for any computer needs! I give them a perfect 10/10 and thank you DS and sorry for the long review but im very happy with the computer! oh and I have not seen if I can 5 box on wow yet but im sure I can and will find out in a few |

It was a pleasure helping you xsss
your PC looks great and ready to grow with you over the years, you got a OC of 3.33, and with your temps it looks like you have room to push it if you liked, however at 3.33GHz you are faster then a 965 3.2GHz Your PC looks great and as you said it yourself, plenty of room to grow if the need ever rises |

Great pictures and a very good review!!!!
Your old Dell looks just like my Dimension 8000 P4/HT. I look forward to getting my new HAF 932 to put beside it too.

Great pictures!!!
Especially the one with HAF and Dell side to side. My current 7 yrs+ dell looks just like that!
I am also a huge TW fan. Looks like you are ready for the release of Empire Total War in March. - Navy battles!

Congratulations Xsss!!! Great looking system bro! Awesome overclock, too. Smoking a stock 965 for a fraction of the price! Sweet deal!
I really like the look and size of that case. You could park a car in there. If it were quieter, I would definitely have bought that one, too. Looks mean and nasty. Oh well, stuck with a 950Si because they told me it was the quietest case. That fits my needs more these days. I'm boring, I know. Now you have me even more excited that mine is on the way. |

Nice Rig Xsss -
Let me know what trouble you have with WoTLK install and how you solve it. I am wary of installing WOW on my new machine when it arrives also.
Looks like many of US here have the same OLD Dell. LOL Can't really complain mine is almost 8 years old and still runs. You will see it (in pics) next to my DS when it arrives.
Enjoy your new monster.

I have an antique E-Machine in a corner (wife's first machine) that looks exactly like that Dell - makes me wonder if Dell was the real manufacturer.

Hey man, let me know how that 5 boxing of wow goes. I run two instances of wow on my little not at all power system so im guessing your system will handle 5 instances of wow no problem but im curious to know how it goes.

yeah I will let you know, finally able to download wotlk client so hopefully it works this time. For some reason the last few times I tried it said something about not being able to read info from the net blah blah. Musta been a problem on their end I suppose.
Oh and this computer makes less noise than the dell did, sounds like a very low power fan running. Not even as loud as a fan on low speed. Edited by xsss - 13 Feb 2009 at 6:21pm |

I have been forwarding this post to all my friends at work since it is pretty much the same configuration that I bought. Everybody is super impressed. You did an excellent job with your pictures. I am now having to reconfigure the desk configuration since I suddenly realized how big this beast really is and it is arriving Tuesday.

well its been a week and so far I have ran
warhammer world of warcraft mount and blade sims (my wifes game ) total war all on max settings have 10 boxxed on wow but im sticking to 5 boxing since its not such a pain. Mount and blade my old computer could only run a battle size of 100 now I can do 1000+ with no errors on any game. Very happy with this computer so far and I feel like I made out great rather than feeling like I blew 2.5 grand. Edited by xsss - 18 Feb 2009 at 7:38pm |
