   Well to start I am far from being server smart. Just for the record. I am trying to design a multi-purpose server for me to practice on. Basically the use of it is as follows: (Going on a small network for my guys out here.)

Media storage, Steam Server, Vent, Media Streaming, and website.

These are just the things I am thinking about for it, not all of them running at once. The configs I made up are for a 1U,2U, and 4U layouts. I am not trying to break the bank, just get a good configuration to be able to run these kind of services.
