I have a Bolt X which was not built with the Digital Storm Thermal Management Control Board.
Is this something which can be purchased and installed separately? |

Yes, Corsair iCUE Commander Pro available on Amazon etc. Plugs into your mobo and has an adhesive backing so you can fasten it to any flat surface inside your case.

Thanks, Cretae, but the Corsair unit isn't the same as the DS board, is it? It may actually be superior but I'm looking for the DS part that works with their software. But I'll look into the Commander Pro regardless.

As I check the configurator, DS does appear to have their own "proprietary" board and software, but if you don't have the board, you don't have their software either. I just assumed you had Corsair gear in there. I can't say for certain that the Corsair Commander, (also offered in the configurator BTW), will control whatever you have, but I would be surprised if it would not.
Seems to me a fan is a fan, and a rheostat is a rheostat. You can always call to find out if nobody smart shows up to help us out. |

Yep, absolutely. I would have to get the DS software as well. Rather assume that would come with the board (given it is user installable). Failing that, I'll certainly give the Corsair unit a look see. Thanks!

The DS thermal mgt system is indeed proprietary. You have to order it with the system when purchased. If you have the order number and name of original purchaser you can check (or order sheet) if the system was configured with it. Go to Support/My Account/ and enter the order details.

I have the build sheet and all the DS docs so I know it wasn't configured with the DS board when purchased. So I may have to go with the Corsair rig after all. No biggie. Thanks!
