DS thermal software, chassis fans, etc...

Struggling with two potential purchase add-ons:

1) DS thermal software controller vs Corsair upgrade

2) case fans on the Aventum X* vs adding the Corsair LL series (14 fans)

        *assuming custom loop to both cpu and gpu.

Is the Corsair commander pro worth the upgrade over DS’s program? And especially would it be if I decided to only go with case fans (how many come with the X?) vs the Corsair LL fan upgrade (which I’m sure would benefit more from the Corsair software than the DS)? I’m not particularly worried about HAVING to have RGB (nice to look at, but if it’s not at all including any performance gain, I don’t really care to spend the $).

RGB is mostly all you get with the Corsair fans IMHO. AFIK, the Corsair controller is for the Corsair fans. There are a total of 14 case fans in the Aventum, as I recall, and if that's not adequate cooling I don't know what it might look like. With a custom loop cooling the two hottest parts, there's no need to spend extra to move air around the case with all that air movement.
