I have been considering ordering what would be my 3rd DS system, counting my sons recent laptop purchase.
As I have posted before I am looking for that case that can handle a high end build with some style. As much as I love the Adventum and Hailstorm boxes they are just to large. With that said will DS (Alex) be offering the Coolermaster N600 and or the Corsair Carbide Series Air 540? What are your thoughts on these cases, would be putting the CPU underwater and am a big fan of fans/ added air as I live in Arizona. Quiet is good but I am really more concerned with a cool running system. I would upgrade fans and most likely populate all locations. Also how do these cases compare to the Syndicate DS currently offers. Edited by Caymus - 18 Jul 2013 at 11:59am |

I don't know about those cases. But I am a Syndicate gal!
My cube is always cool. My sys right now is 28c. It's in the 90s outside with 100% humidity. My computer room is 74F. All these fans are fabulous (and LC). Loud? Attention getting? Yes and loving it! |

A high end build will require plenty of airflow and general air space to keep everything cool. The Idea of the Hailstorm II & Aventum II are large not only to hold tons of equipment but also more air space to keep all of it cool.
I'm not sure if DS can order a specific case as you can request other specific hardware. Since its from Corsair (which a lot of their cases are), they are more likely to be able to get it for you.

Yes I understand large. Its more the dimensions that are a problem. For example, a cube like the syndicate though larger would offer more space but fit in the location I would keep said case better. I have posted pictures in the past both of a previous build and the space that the system will occupy. Old pic but U get the idea. |
