since i have my own copy of window 7, can DS come with format hard drive only?

Yep, under the OS selection drop down box is an option for no OS and just have them test the hardware (with a temporary OS).

You're right, the option isn't there anymore. Well drop DS a line here and see if it is something they can still arrange. I'm sure it would be.

Sorry we removed it because we would like to throughly test each system with an OS before we ship them.

Feel free to contact us directly, I'm sure we can work something out if you really would like no OS.
