You have looked at my build a few times but I am about to buy this and wonder if you have any suggestions? I do not want to wait for the Vortex 2 so the Rapter is it. Thanks in advance.

Yes it does!! DST4ME I have a question about SSD's. i know they are the best for read/write data... now can you tell me the other advantages and disadvantages of the SSD's. I read a lot of review about "tweaks" and "too much stuttering and pausing even with many of the tweaks"... how does that affect you, what do you lose and gain? opinions... |

Also will DS "tweak" upgrade the firmware (to make it faster) before installing the OS?
here is a review Pros: Extremely fast SSD, especially considering the price. Great customer support from OCZ as well. Cons: If you obtained this drive with firmware 1199 (like I did), chances are you are going to start experiencing issues to the point where your partition (and all your data) on the drive will disappear. It is a known issue by OCZ, and they have RESOLVED the issue with their latest firmware, version 1275, which was released today (March 23rd). CHECK THE FIRMWARE ON YOUR DRIVE. All the tools and instructions you need to update the firmware can be found in the OCZ support forums, along with several other tips and tricks from a very active community. Do your research, do your homework before using this SSD as your regular drive. You'll be glad you did. |

all SSDs are not the same, you above quote is from the vertex 1 of OCZ, things are not like that with all SSDs
that vertex was first gen and its the high end drive of OCZ, the vertex 2 is a different beast. also if you look on newegg you will see only a 7% bad rating, 73% of its owners loved it, so look at loads of reviews then see what percent is negative, anything over 15 to 20% is too much IMO. |
