Okay... a new stupid question. I noticed that DigitalStorm added a dual boot option. Is there anyone out there that has experience about setting this up. And in that, can the two version share a third hard drive that has data for either? Or do you have to have a XP path and a Vista path that are completely separate?
My idea:
Drive 1 = 1TB
Drive 2 = 1TB
Raid 1 on D1/D2
Split D1/D2 Raid into two 500Gbyte
XP on one, Vista on the other
Drive 3 = 1TB shared across both OS's.
Doable or not?

As long as the two OSs use the same file system (NTFS?) They will be able to share data files. Although there are are some exceptions, the OSs can not share applications, because applications need to be installed on each OS. There are some relatively simple apps that do not need to be installed; they just work. A single instance of those apps can probably be shared between XP and Vista
I'm not sure what happens when you throw RAID into the equation. It probably shouldn't matter.
Remember that the OSs don't have to be on different drives, just different partitions. That's a sh*t load of disk space.

video porn takes up a lot of drive space. After all you have to save to disk...i mean what if the internet dies or something....It could happen.

hehehehehe... h*ll. Just Video period takes up a lot of space. But you should also see my electronic picture collection. It keeps growing and I keep having to archive my poor little hard-drive.
But you *really* wanna feel inadequte? Try 5T!!! I have a friend who has THAT much used up. But mostly he copies CD's and DVD's on his hard-drive. >>>OFFICIALLY<<< for backup purposes only. But we both know what that means. But he also has one of those mega high-def monitors on his bad boy.
Not that I'm competing or anything. But my wimply little Emachines I originally bought my wife for going back to college just ain't cutting it. To borrow a phrase... "I have the NEED. The need for SPEED!"
