Never tried to run two operating systems before.. To be safe with compatibility issues I'm thinking of getting a dual boot system with XP and vista 64bit.
If I get two harddrives, can I have one OS on each with no compatibility problems between them?
Basically just wondering how smooth a dual boot setup is compared to a single...any issues or problems setting it up this way?

That should be no problem at all.
Another thing you might consider: 2 harddrives, one with two partitions. Put XP on one partition and Vista on the other. The other harddrive would be purely for data files. That way, if you had to reinstall an OS for some reason, you wouldn't have to worry about losing your files. Edited by Mythius101 - 26 Feb 2008 at 4:15am |
