I bought the Dell UltraSharp U3014. What connection type would be "BEST" to use with this monitor using SLI GTX680 4GB.

DVI is the usual standard hookup but with HDMI 1.4 allowing  for higher res.,  I'm not sure it matters anymore.

Bprat pretty much nailed it on the head, DVI, HDMI, and DP are going to be equal for just about any application. DVI and DP have 10bit bandwidth and are going to handle the U3014 in any situation. HDMI 1.4a onwards does have a deeper bandwidth, 12bit, but that is only really going to matter if you are doing heavy 3D. For your monitor, choose which one is easiest for your setup, and rock out! Strong

Your U3014 should come with both a DVI-D and a DP-mDP cable.  I used the DVI-D cable and the DVI-D plug on my 670.  I see no problems at all.

I like the Display port because it is easier to connect than DVI
[O the hardship of twisting 2 screws    ]
but, it locks in place unlike hdmi.
