Welcome to DS! Cable management in red.. we're gonna need pictures of that!!
Btw, in order to sport the "Verified Customer" badge, now that you've ordered, all you need to do is make certain that your ordering email address matches your forum registration email address exactly. (This is case sensitive like a password... so [email protected] doesn't match [email protected]). Again, welcome! It's gonna be great!

Corrected that so should be verified now
How long does it usually take to stress test? Most I’ve seen seem to go in n out in same day? Edited by Craftycrafter - 17 Feb 2023 at 2:03pm |

There's the badge! Outstanding look.
Of all the stages that DS puts our machines through before they ship them out, the Stress Test stage is one that I hope takes the longest. I WANT them to stress the bits and parts and then stress them again and again. The more chances they have to find a weak spot is always better for us in the long run. Yes, it may delay us getting our machines, but if they do find something that is not performing up to their standards then they can fix it on the spot and we'll have a better, stronger, longer lasting machine that won't hiccup when we start to push it. (but hey, that's just me!) But to answer your question, stress testing is really very fluid. Could take an hour or so up to days. Just depends on your machine and it's parts. |

One thing I’ve been curious about as well, I elected to go with a 700w power supply at time of build now looking back I wished I’d gone with an 850 or even a 1000, since it’s in stress testing phase and we’ll say they determine that the 700 isn’t sufficient enough will they contact me about potential upgrading to a better supply? I’ve never had a custom pc built before so.unsure procedures

If there are any issues discovered during stress testing and those issues would required a new, different or just more expensive part, you would be contacted for authorization.
DS does a pretty good job of making sure any component that is available in the drop down menu when you are configuring, is compatible and works with no issues. Example, you select this and that and then get to the PSU, if the 700 watt wasn't sufficient to power the components, it probably wouldn't be there as an option. I am with Snaike, the longer the stress test (within reason) the better for you. Usually, any issues will pop up pretty quick once placed under extreme stress. Just like the stress test done on us while I was in the FD. Didn't take long to find heart issues when placed under high stress. |
