Easy Windows 7 re-install question

Background for the interested. I decided to give my old DS system to my sister, because it has been taking up space since I got my newer DS system last year. Long story short, she managed to crash the OS in just under 1 days time by deleting files she didn't think she needed. This was the first time it's crashed in ~5 years.

I have to go down and re-install Windows 7 next month and I need to know what exactly what additional drivers I need to install. I did re-install once before with the addition of a SSD, but I don't recall if I had to reinstall the chipset, video card drivers of if they were installed with windows 7. Thanks for your time.

Hi Alci,

When you do a clean install Windows 7 should provide all of the drivers you need for the system to operate. Then you need to download all of the updates from Microsoft. Then if you want you can visit your GPU site to make sure you have the newest drivers. You can do the same for any of the equipment but may not be necessary. Since this is a older system sometimes new drivers cause more trouble than they are worth.

Will I need to re-install the EVO asus drivers again? I don't remember if I had to do this the first time I re-installed windows 7 several years ago when changing to an SSD?

Windows should install everything you need, like Frank said.    Some of the drivers, like for video card, might not be the latest, but still get you up and running.
