Epic Games is having a pretty good sale on some very attractive games right now through June 11. Red Dead Redemption II, Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3 and Metro Exodus are in the mix. For the next couple of days, you can get Civ 6 (base game) for FREE.

Civ 6... interesting thing here. Steam is selling Civ 6 vanilla for full price ($59.99) yet if you buy the platinum bundle (vanilla + all DLC) you spend $47.92. So, spend more and get less?!? In who's world does that make sense?
My only question is if I were to get the vanilla game from Epic (FREE!) and I bought all the expansion and DLC from Steam ($14.26), would they work together? |

Good question, which is what I also wondered. Since the platform (Steam, Epic) is what launches the game for you, I would think not without some serious tweaking. There may be some code in the game files that would prevent such a thing.

I can't speak specifically to Civ 6, but generally speaking Steam and Epic licenses do not play nicely as their respective distributors have no reason to work together, to the point that it's either outright impossible to get them to work together or the manner in which you do so requires a great deal of tweaking, as Cretae mentioned. Officially I don't think any game supports linked licenses between the two stores, but I might be wrong as it isn't something I've researched a whole lot of.

I just got an e-mail from Epic Games site that they will make the latest Troy Total War game FREE on August 13th. They are currently offering Borderlands The Handsome Collection for FREE, and in a couple of days they will offer a new free game.
Definitely worth joining the site so you get a heads-up for the Troy game in August IMO. |

This week's free game is ARK: Survival Evolved. If you look around, there appears to be some DLC also free. The overall sale appears to be over, but IDK if they will keep this free game every Thursday going.... I'm new to Epic.
