Guys, I keep getting an error code when I use EVGA Precision. I also got the same code when I used MSI Afterburner. The code says: RTTSH.dll::IsTaskExist failed with error code - 23! I click on ok and then the program starts.
Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Disable the auto update for it and then reboot and tell me if this happens still.

DST, I disabled updates but it still showed up when I rebooted. I also went online to see if I could find something. I downloaded some lame program that said it would get rid of dll issues. It worked while the computer was running but the error came back after it was rebooted. Naturally to get the real magic from them they want you to pay for it. I guess my problem wasn't in the 80% group that their program said would fix for free. LOL!It's not really screwing anything up, it's more annoying than anything else.

Ok let me ask you a few questions:
do you have the latest version? if yes then go to 1, if no then uninstall and install new version(delete old folder for it before the new install) 1. right click the exe file for precision in its folder and under "compatibility" tab, click "run as admin", click apply and see if that does the trick. if not repeat the steps about and in the same tab, this time click "run as compatibility for" and choose xp sp3, click apply and see if that does it. |

My hobby is software testing, so over the past 8 years, I have done lot of testing, I also used to put out 2 files sharing apps, klt k++ and edonkey lite for a good while there , and I would pack and program the installers for them also, which included writing where all the regkeys/folders/files have to go during install.
In short I've done a lot with software.
I'm glad you got it worked out, however I'm not sure why its making you do that, it should not, I have tested precision and have it on my win7 64bit also for testing, and it does not have this error, so I'm wondering why you are getting it. I'm thinking you got a bad regkey/s or a file/s some where. My pleasure ![]() Edited by DST4ME - 29 Jul 2011 at 3:00pm |
