I hope you all can help me with this, as this has been bugging me for a while. :( My computer is currently old, old old and as a consequence, my dvd drive gave up the ghost.

This caused an error message on startup "Drive 2 cannot be detected. IDE Master.etc" As I'm still a bit away from getting my dream DS system, I bit the bullet and bought a new DVD drive. Installed it, works beautifully.....however the error message won't go away. Everytime I restart, I get the error.

I've checked the bios and it doesn't detect the new drive. However it doesn't prevent me from using the drive, to play games, watch movies or even burn dvd's o.o

Any ideas?

Hmmm... can you swap it with a different port on the motherboard and try replacing the DATA cable just in case?
