I have a question for you all who use ESET Security Suite, did you upgrade from Ver 4 to Ver 5, or did you stay with 4?
I have read that ESET suite 5 had/has issues and that people were downgrading back to 4 until a patch. The problem is that I am not sure how OLD these so called claims are and how valid. I love ESET 4 now, it works, is fast, AV works, Firewall works, and its clean and easy to use. Mainly I am directing this at DST4ME, did you upgrade? if so are there any issues/tweaks I need to be aware of? Thanks. |

I don't have ESET, but a friend does, I asked him about it and he said he knew what you were referring to, but hasn't had any issues since changing over.

I use ESET 4 and didn't upgrade to 5 due to an error that would not go away that diabled version 5. The error is related to a problem caused by VISTA. The ESET technicians actually used my case as a type of (case study) on the problem due to the fact they couldn't figure out how to fix it.
Stick with ESET 4! Especially if you use VISTA.
