Tempting, but the tomshardware review on that card totally turned me off too it. The thing did worse with AA on then an Ultra in most the games.

If these 9800 cards are such a disappointment, what should a person do when trying to configure a computer?
Cool Master HAF 932
Core i7 965 DSO OC
Water cooled CPU
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
6 GB DDR3 1600 OCZ
1000 W Corsair HX
GTX 470
300 GB Raptor
tera 7200rpm
Windows 7

They are only disappointing in the fact they arnt much better then the 8800s. So they arnt technically terrible, its just they arnt as big step up from the 8800 class that everybody wanted.

Id personally avoid the X2 card right now, it doesnt seem that great. But a 9800GTX would be a pretty decent card for a NEW computer. Though im still not totally convinced in that, especially if these new cards cause the prices of the 8800GTS/GTX to fall slightly

Me personally, im still waiting on my computer, If the 9800GTX isnt very impressing either review and benchmark wise, ill probably just go for a 8800GTS.
