Does anyone have the list of differences between the EVGA x58 and the EVGA x58 LE (lite edition). Just wondering if its not worth $92 bucks more for the original. |

I was hunting that compare thing but never found it. EVGA website on that image? Also, why make a board with more than 3 PCI-E slots and not SLI/Crossfire capable? Just wondering.. I guess it's for that guy that wants a PhysX card, a Sound Card, a TV tuner card, the killer xeno pro and 1 video card.

So my conclusion is that because of it's low bandwith SLI capabilities its better to go with the vanilla x58. Anyone else agree?

Other than price, I can't see any difference between the "-TR" and "-A1" boards. I often admit I'm blind, but what's the diff?

TR is 2 year warranty, A1 is lifetime.
I would recommend the LE board if you are going with one high-end video card (GTX295) or two lower end cards (2xGTX275 or similar). Overclocking capability is just as good as the regular board (so i'm told, haven't tried for myself yet). The LE board has the new X58 chipset with B3 stepping, and it doesn't have any old legacy ports. Edited by venom - 11 Jun 2009 at 5:01am |
