eVGA MOBO and IDE

I read somewhere that the eVGA 680i MOBO has one IDE port. Does that mean that it can only connect to 2 IDE devices?

Yes, that's one thing that's really annoying about the 680i motherboard. It has like 6 SATA ports and ONLY 1 IDE. Wish the add another IDE port. Well i guess you can use a PCI apdapter card but that will will take 1 PCI slot out of the 2 PCI slots that the 680i motherboard has Ouch

Yeah, the eVGA 680i and 650i MOBO have one IDE port. That mean that it can only connect to 2 IDE devices(ex: 1 DVD rom and 1 DVDRW together).

They are moving over to SATA everything. IDE is going to be gone soon.
