i have a great ds system built a month ago..
i was reading about the evga swap program i have 1 280 gtx card ,,,,
anyone have the pricing on upgrading a 280 gtx 1 gig to a 285 or 295 upgrade gtx at 1 gig ....
and will i see a noticable difference in the upgrade ..
the 280 gtx runs sweet .. just thought i ask whether it is a worthy upgrade and do i go through ds or do i go straight to evga ?
thanks marc

The thing is you have to register your cards within 30 days of getting it or else the step-up program doesnt work.
Other than that, if you have a single 280 I would say get up to a GTX 295. |

From the reviews I have read the 285 runs quieter and cooler than the 280. Although im not sure you would see a huge gain in performance. I think its an improvement over the 280, just wont see leaps and bounds better as far as performance.

you have to register within 30 days of getting your card, so if you own a DS its 30 days from getting your machine, and the stepup lasts 90 days from the time you register I think.
Correct me if I am wrong guys. |

You have to register with EVGA on their website within 30 days. IMO, the tradeoff prices they offer are not any different than what you can get on newegg when they have something on special.
