I guess thats cool of them, but EVGA is the top dog seller of video cards, why would AMD purposely hurt themselves like that? Theyd gain a greater market share with EVGA on board then they would via offending current vendors. As i recall of those vendors AMD has 3 of them produce both Nvidia and ATI cards. so again...why?

I'm sure ATI would loved to have taken on EVGA just to spite Nvidia if they could have justified it. EVGA, however has nothing to offer ATI. ATI is already selling as many cards as they can have manufactured. Why weaken solid business partnerships by watering down your supplies to those that have been loyal? I don't know if it's ethics, or just practicality. I wonder if the rather abysmal outlook on NVidia's chipset business has prompted this move by EVGA.

Another sad ploy by AMD to save face, they better hurry up or there will be so far in the red the only thing that will save them is a bankruptcy reorganization or captial venture firm buyout.
