EVGA X58 3X or the LE?

Is there realy a big difference between EVGA X58 LE Edition SLI and the EVGA X58 3X?

The 3x (as long as you don't mean the Classified) runs it's 3 PCI-e lanes at x16, x16, x8. This is best for 2x 295s + physx, as the 295s can use that extra speed.

The LE runs it's 4 PCI-e lanes at x16, x8, x4, x8. This is best for Tri-Sli + Physx, as not even the 285 uses all x8.

Unless you are planning on going Quad-Sli, I'd say get the LE.

Classified is more geared toward OC enthusiast as it has some features that help getting a higer oc for those that want to push to the edge, other then that, there is the pci slots that Zurginator explained.

What's the best for just plain SLI?  + maybe one dedicated card for PhysX?

in sli I say forget the dedicated card for physx, but the LE shoudd be just fine.

just grab a piece of cardboard and draw the slots and socket on
that way you can have as many as you need

hear hear but where would i add my water cooling and will my cardmobo last  long with LC. i think im drawing room 4 2 processors and 6 lanes in mine 2 x 985 and 3 x 275 + a  sound phys x and wireless card
