So it seems that there is some misinformation, and I will clarify that now.

Originally the X58 Classified was on schedule for end of February release, this is true. Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that can happen that will delay production by a week or two. With that being said, unfortunately it will likely miss by 1-2 weeks so we are now looking at the second week of March.

Also, the EVGA X58 standard board will still be in full production, please remember that the Classified board is a premium board at a higher price.

I have a question for you Alex.. Will the classified fit in the 950si case and be able to do tri sli on air with a sound card? Or will it have the same problem as the rampage II mobo? 

If it fits I might be sending my pc back in 6months from now for a few upgrades hehe..

you would need a 8 expansion slot case to do that I believe but lets see what Alex says

you should get a Lian Li Pc80 tho :D has better airflow and u can get a side window like the 950

There's slots on it for 3 gpus, 1 sound card, and 1 physx card.Hence the 8 slots.

just looked at the pic, and I keep forgetting that you can put the GPU where the physx card is so ya, I stand corrected, for a sound card you don't need a 8 expansion slot.

Tbh... I could care less about using an extra lane for a physx card, some people on evga forums claim that it actually lowered there vantage and 3dmark scores..
 
I just want a mobo that can do tri sli and a sound card, the classified is the only x58 board capable of doing that.

lol I'm almost with you, I need a case that can do tri sli, could careless about physx and no sounc card for me
