Was curious if DS knew whether or not they were going to stock the EVGA x58 Classified.  It's supposed to be out in the next few weeks, and I'm waiting til it's out to purchase (finally) my rig.

Im pretty sure at this point they intend to carry them, but im sure they are unaware of the actual release date and when they will have them in stock.
 
Seems this board is going to be a hot item, id imagine its going to be hard to get your hands on the board when they first launch.

When classified comes out, DS will carry it from what I understand

I read it but can you give me a quick simple explanation of what's different between it and the current EVGA X58 that DS offers? How is it better and/or how is it worse?

Also...anyone know of anything else that's coming out in the next month or so that would be worth waiting for?

watch this video

it was made with input of a champion over clocker, it has 4 pcie x16 slots, so you can tri sli a 285 for example and have another pcie slot for th physx, its a great board for OCing. its roomier, has 8 expansion slots, the CPU socket has 3 times more gold which will help with conductivity which then = great OC

when it comes out DS will offer it

Got a question.... the Classified version has 8 Expansion Slots.... What case has 8 expansion slots? None of the Silverstones do... not even the new Raven??? None of the slots can hang over (not have a slot) becuase in Quad 295... the bottom slot is your second card hook ups.... Top slot is your Sound Card.... i dont get it, seems like there will have to be a new case before this MOBO will be useful!

I think spedo has 8 but its plastic.

you can have 2 cards in a row and not use the bottom one

is the Quad setup the bottom is in use.....  Just wondering cuase i put a hold on my DS order becuase of a few new things coming out.... TJ09 and TJ10 is my favorites cases hands down....  with no High End 8 slot... means no good Liquid COoling setup for it also!

Yes I posted that article in this forum myself, however that is just a pic, you have your first slot that is x16, then the second, third, and fourth are all PCI-Ex16 PCI-E x16 bandwidth x16 or x8, signal from nF200 X16, the second slot is channel A while third and forth are channel B.

I'm also not sure why you think it will not do LC either, when it comes out DS will carry it and I'm sure they will LC it.

I like HAF, its has better cooling then the tj09

Sorry didnt mean the mobo would bt LC... ment a good case FOR lc... some cases imo are not ment or VERY hard to LC...
 
ya i know its not out and there might be new cases just for it....
 
just want a new dam i7 and my eyes lit up when i saw that thing!
 
but i noticed that NO ONE has said a word about it having 8 slots and no 8 slot cases (your right though... Spedo has 8... looked it up on Newegg :)) Ya i posted a thing on the forums also under the X58 part... waiting too see if alot of poeple are taking by surprise!

I have seen plenty of people talk about it in other forums, many people are going with the haf and classified, and tri or quad sli.

the HAF is also great for LC, its got the best of both worlds, that is why I like it.

ya i like the TJ09 and TJ10 becuase it looks "clean / neat"
