I'm simply torn between these two motherboards.
I'm planning on running 12GB of ram at 1600, most likely 2x GTX 295's as well. Which motherboard would be the better choice? It's driving me crazy trying to decide. ![]() |

So by that I'm assuming you mean there's barely any difference?

With editing with programs and 3D programs, it definitely comes in handy.
I'm going to start out with 6, but I'm eventually going to upgrade to 12. I was thinking EVGA as well, but I just can't decide completely. Edited by Xzeox - 03 Mar 2009 at 10:25pm |

That seems like a smart option, I might do that - but is it really worth it? |

if you are into OC yes but if you are not that big on it then no it won't be worth it for you.

EVGA x58 lets you do tri-SLI (in case you need it in the future). |

The rampage ii can handle 24GB max, the EVGA x58 handles 12GB. so if you were to upgrade when better memory comes out, ASUS would be your bet. although i dont know what the classified will support.

current EVGA can do tri sli also, 90% of people even need 12GB, let along 24.
also better memory is faster memory not more memory, more memory, just FYI
