The worlds most advance performance PCs are complimented by high-end exotic paint finishes. Digital Storm's exotic paint finish gives your new system a head turning, exclusive showpiece attraction. This isn’t any ordinary paint finish that’s based on a basic solid color. Each paint job features multiple layers of metallic, pearlescent, and candy paint coats that reflect a stunning look that brings depth and variation under vivid lighting.

We just started to offer exotic paint options on the Aventum II and even the Hailstorm II. We can also do any custom color to match a certain finish on a car, etc...

Let us know if you would ever consider getting one of these paint jobs if you were building a $5,000+ system. They're quite the price at $799.

Since you asked... The high end systems are above my budget so can't really relate. But, I think the price is a little high. I understand the quality your team has put into this and deliver, but a $399 - $499 price would be more do-able.

Just me and others might find it perfectly acceptable.

Hopefully others will chime in.

If my budget allowed for a $5000+ system, the $799 price tag wouldn't stop me.

My budget tends to be closer to $2500 when I'm in the market, so I would prefer to spend the money on performance improvements.

That said - these are nice!

We rather not offer the standard paint jobs for the $300-$400 range, I know it would open more people to it. The thinking behind it is that we want the finish to be truly special, not just a color.

I think the finishes look great but how do these compare to the "regular/standard" paint finishes (any side by side comparisons)? This would definitely be something I'd consider on my next machine but would need to see how it's better than the regular paint job. What about interior colors/painting? Or even the paint designs like what's being offered on the Bolt line.

A regular paint job is based a solid color. There are no translucent coats which give the paint depth and different shades under lighting. That's what these exotic paint jobs are, they are very labor intensive to paint which is why there is a high premium for them.

To help explain the depth and color shade that occurs, here is an example of a red paint job, the first one is a standard red which has a solid red color with a clear coat, and the next one has a translucent finish similar to how our exotic finish is:

I believe they usually refer to that as a Candy Color in the automotive biz. I would most definitely rock that on my next rig!

After some research, I understand now the increased cost and added depth of doing translucent painting.   The effect is amazing.   The ones I've see are like you can reach into the paint and touch the reflections.
