From my experience with Dell and HP computers, their new PC's come with loads of unwanted software that must be culled through and deleted.  As I am always afraid of deleting something critical, I tend to leave much of the less obvious software on the hard drive.

How much "extra" software appears on a DS machine outside of the OS and any other supporting software you order (Office, Virus protection, games, etc...)?

Thanks I am really curious about this.

Thanks. Took me a bit to put together but I like how it turned out. Forgot to put in the Noctua cooler - will probably update it at a later time.

The sound card is great and I'm glad I sprung for it. The front panel controls are nice to have.

So far everything is pure gaming ecstasy. I've been very pleased. I think anyone who says the GTX 480 is really loud has never had one. I can hear it running during games but it's not obtrusive. I've had side panel fans that are louder than my entire system under load.

When I have the time, I still plan on putting together a full review - may be awhile though.

DS is the Gold Standard for setting up a PC. Nothing on mine that I did not ask for.  Could be why this is my second DS game box.

Spambot begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th.

I removed the SPAM by the bot. Looks like we may have to add some sort of user verification now.

nothing. absolutely nothing. a lot of other companies might be paid to slap on bloatware, which is really annoying. DS isn't any big corporation, well, yet Big%20Smile, but they install the OS clean, and only install the current drivers and control software. nothing else. Big%20Smile
