Hi everyone Im waiting for my $8500 beast I ordered here and my buddy keeps bragging about his Falcon Northwest Mach V computer He bought last month for about $9000. I dont know anything about them but before I open my mouth and say Mine is as good or better do they compare. I went to the site and they do look sweet but also more money.

Falcon Northwest is a great company and has been around a long time. I haven't dealt with Falcon for a long time, so not sure how they have done recently.
There really isn't any magic one builder can do vs. another - they all have the same pool of parts to draw from. It really comes down to attention to detail, knowledge of staff, customer service and pricing. DSO is excellent in all those categories.
You machine should be every bit as good. Open your mouth and brag away!

When I bought my Mach V about 8 years ago, the people at Falcon NW were very helpful and easy to work with. They told me what I needed for what I wanted to do with my pc. The person I worked with discussed some of the choices I could make with someone else who played the games I wanted to use my pc for. It was a good pc for 7 years until the motherboard went.
When I looked at their configurator, I noticed that they did skimp on the quality of their ram and some other parts weren't quite as good either. I'm sure I could have asked them to upgrade parts over the phone if I wanted to. The price was pretty high though and I was looking for a budget pc this time around. |

FNW is one of the well known companies around but there is a reason why I'm here and not at FNW
, prices are too high, and choices are kinda limited.
IMO, DS is the closest to building it myself and how much it would cost if I build it myself. After checking all of the sites that sell customized PCs, DS is the best one in quality and cost. Shake your friends hand and congratulate him for spending more money then he had to, and thats nothing to brag about

I totally agree with what has been said, FNW= great PC company but their configurator is no where as good as it used to be. They just cannot compare to the variety that DS offers. I check their site as a benchmark for each PC that I buy and they have consistently been more expensive and I just can't get what Im looking for.

Same with me. It was down to Cyberpower and FNW for me, then I found you guys. And I was looking for 3 months for the right guys to put my $4500 rig together.
...My rig would now cost ~$3250. Should'a waited 3 more months...

Perhaps we can quid pro quo on those qualifications WC...
I can provide you jackass training, but you already weird me out a bit, so you have an unfair advantage...
(see how easy it is to be a jackass)
