From Fallout 3: Where's my dad?...
To Fallout 4: Where's my son?... then Fallout 76: Where's my #$%$ refund?... ... it seems to be a bleak future ahead for us fans. But now, the creators of the original Fallout and the developers of Fallout: New Vegas (Obsidian) are looking to release "The Outer Worlds" in 2019 and I'm starting to get a glimmer of hope for the genre. For those who are not familiar, this game looks like a love-child of Fallout and Borderlands. Check out the trailer on Steam and elsewhere. Maybe.. something to hope for? I was one of those people who was trying to give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt regarding Fallout 76. Even I couldn't have imagined how poorly they handled it. Fortunately I didn't purchase 76 and don't plan to in the foreseeable future. I've been keeping and eye on The Outer Worlds and will continue to do so. Here's hoping.

Outer World does look like a possibility. I knew I wouldn’t try 76, so wasn’t too disappointed with all I read.
Xcom 2 is keeping me busy lately, Pillars of Eternity:Deadfire also. |

Looks promising.
Fallout in all its iterations has probably been the franchise that has been the most enjoyable for me over the past 21 years. I can adjust to a new lore as long as it brings that much to the table. Here's hoping (+1)! |

I heard so much about this game... but I just can't get into that top-down "read it all" type game. Gotta have my first person, open world type, voiced games like The Witcher, Fallout, Skyrim, DragonAge, Shadow of Mordor/War... etc. Kind of at a flat point now that I thought was going to be filled by FO '76. So, another round with Geralt may be in order. Edited by Snaike - 09 Dec 2018 at 6:50am |

Snaike, you are right about the top down view in adventure gaming. I like it and play it , but my attention doesn't stay with it and I find myself going to other games, then back to POE just for different. I probably will never finish it. The only top down view that I love are the Civilization series. My all time favorites. |

I knew I wasn't buying FO76 after the changes in game play. Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the other hand is proving to be a very fun game so much so that I haven't even installed Hit man2 yet.
