Fan Replacement Help

   I have a 2018 Equinox laptop. It has run hot ever since I got it, but I've been able to keep it cool with external means. I've already replaced the single fan, and now one of the fans in the dual fan has stopped working, causing the blaring alert beeps. I am having trouble getting to the double fan as it is locked into the cooling ducts and I'm not sure how to remove the motherboard which looks like the only way to get the fans out. My question is do I need to remove the motherboard, and if not how do I replace the dual fans?
