Right now I have 10 fans in my HAF 932. They came installed in this configuration. I am thinking of adding 1, if not 2 fans to help temps. Dust isn't a concern as I've built removable filters out of lace and low powered magnet tape. My psu is in the bottom, fan-side down.
intake: 1 - 200mm 110cfm front bottom 4 - 120mm 69cfm side 1 - 120mm 69cfm top over cpu heatsink exhaust: 1 - 140mm 92cfm rear 1 - 120mm 69cfm top in central area between mb and drive bays 2 - 120mm 69cfm on CPU, push+pull towards rear 140mm exhaust The top-central exhaust always seems to be blowing cool air. I have read that the top intake over the cpu with bigger heatsinks does help. I'm assuming that the top-central is exhaust because it's on the top and not directly over the cpu... but I've thought of turning it into an intake since it's blowing cool air out anyways. I've also thought of adding a 120mm to the bottom of the case to blow upwards, taking air past gpu and ram and up out this top exhaust. It is a cool area behind psu with intake grates. Another possibility is adding a 140mm/120mm to the empty, upper drive bay area. Mount it vertically (at inside edge) and have it sending air towards the back of the case, past ram, cpu and i guess sort of the top(board-side) of the gpu. This option could involve switching the Top Fans' intake/exhaust roles, and optionally including the bottom-up fan too. Any input is welcome, thanks in advance. Hi feyrband,
The 932 has very good cooling. Since the top center is blowing cool air that means your cooling system is working properly. The air out the rear 140 is probably warm. You all ready have a lot of cool in flow air. I wouldn't want to do anything that might upset the air flow of the case. The important thing is the temps of your CPU and GPUs. Are you making changes because the temps are high? If you want to experiment keep track of your temps before and after any changes. Frank |
