I have never had a smooth interaction or delivery with FedEx. Unfortunately this is who DS uses. Package has been in transit from Sacramento, CA to San Diego, CA since Saturday morning with no update. Delivery date is scheduled for today, but we will see how this goes. Working with FedEx in the past I know that their delivery dates are just put in place to make people feel comfortable. No updates usually means there is an issue.

I hope I am wrong this time but we will see...

On the other hand, the DS side of things went really smooth. About 5 business days from the day I made the purchase to the day it left their facility. A+ on their end so far but lets see how the system turns out.

You should be okay. We package each system to withstand a certain level of mishandling by the shipping companies.

Oh trust me, you'd be amazed by some of the things I have seen damaged by FedEx. Example, a 16lb bowling ball surrounded by foam and double boxed.

Well... FedEx did deliver today 10 minutes before I left for work and about 30 minutes after their customer service told me they stopped making deliveries. The box had some dents and torn cardboard (nothing serious) and I made the driver take note. Everything on the inside looks ok physically but I didnt have time to power it on before heading to work. I will post some reviews either tomorrow or thursday when I have time to use it.

Glad to hear everything (seemed to) arrive OK!  Know it had to be hard not to call into work "sick" Wink so you could stay home and nurse the new arrival  Confused

I don't get to call in sick. I am a network/sys admin contractor so the more I am here the better shot I have at getting hired by the company down the road.

All work and no play...makes Jack a dull boy...  Sorry, about (you) not having the perk of being "sick" once in a while...but, can understand (now) that you've explained the situation.  In these economic times...we all do what we can/must to keep body and soul together--and the wolves at bay.  Best of luck to ya.  Looking forward to your pics and review...when you get the time.  Approve
