I'm a not too knowledgeable guy looking to buy a computer from digital storm within the next couple days (the sooner the better!).  I'm looking at spending as much as $2000, but if I can get decent performance for cheaper, then great.  My monitor will be 1920x1080.  I plan on using it for playing MMOs, SC2, some other games, and also some light video editing.

The biggest thing I'm looking for help on is if you see me wasting money for a marginal performance boost or if you see an upgrade that would be substantial for a decent hike in price.

Also another issue I'm a bit worried about is that I live in Georgia (United States)
and I believe DS is located in California.  I don't mind what would obviously be a longer shipping time, but should I be worried about damage or anything to the PC with the cross country treatment?

wouldn't a 470 kill that ATI card and be cheaper?

I believe it would liq.
Also, not recommending the OS boost. It will turn off some unnecessary things, but to an overclocked 920, those things are practically nothing. Turning them back on if you find you need or want them would be a hassle too.

Might upgrade to a 1TB 32MB cache HDD.

Ok I switched the HDD to a 1TB WD 32MB cache HDD.  Also added a free T-Shirt!

However, I can't seem to figure out which card the 470 is.  Could you be a little more specific about that?  It also won't let me turn off performance boost.  The only options I see are disable things for free or $35.

New link with the same graphics card and HDD/ change:

Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 1.2GB (Includes PhysX Technology) (EVGA Brand)

sorry I wasn't more specific. I would take the EVGA model which is cheaper than the default for some reason simply because of the lifetime warranty, and step-up program which is great.

Turns out I'm just dumb.  Didn't realize the list of cards was so long I needed to scroll down to find it.  Ok, so I'll go with that card now along with the HDD change.  Unless anyone else has anything I'll probably order this thing tomorrow night.

Thanks for the help!

Really? it doesn't allow you to select no for the OS boost? DS must have messed up their configurator somehow.. just mention you don't want it and that issue in the notes at the bottom then.

Also, i would get the internal lighting, it looks awesome. period.

Since you are under budget, you could get the Noctua NH-D14 cooler. It does lower temps a bit more than the stage 1 noctua. Still isn't loud either. Though, if you don't plan on overclocking the CPU beyond what DS does, you probably won't notice any difference. That should be it.

If you ever have an issue not being able to select some options normally available (such as No OS tweaking) just go back to the products page and start a new config. If you load up a previously saved one with different things selected sometimes the "No Thank You" options seem to poof.
